MEET OUR DOCTORS

Upon graduating from U of T, Dr. Tzotzis went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2002 at Howard University. He then attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, where he obtained his Masters of Science (M.S.) and completed his Orthodontic Certificate.
“I am very passionate about orthodontics and patient care. My interest in orthodontics started as a teenager and increased during my formal education and through my experience in the dental community. The focus on continuing education at Heritage Dental Specialists allows us to provide the most technically advanced treatments, ranging from conventional metal braces, to clear braces, Invisalign, and Harmony Lingual (inside) braces.”

On his days off Dr. Tzotzis enjoys free time with his family, traveling and escaping to the cottage. He also enjoys a number of activities including fishing, hockey and tennis.

Graduated in 2002 from Tufts University with a degree of Dental Medicine and later in 2005 graduated from the Dental Medicine Periodontics Specialty with a Periodontics Certificate. Currently she is a Diplomate of the American board of Periodontology.
Dr. Farah Walji often referred to as “Dr. Farah,” specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease as well as the placement of dental implants. Dr. Farah has taken advanced courses in implant and bone grafting surgery. She enjoys that these advances in tooth replacement have allowed traditional treatment times to be cut in half, provide better post operative healing and increased surgical and prosthetic success.

Outside of the office Dr. Farah enjoys exercising, traveling, cooking and spending time with her family.

Dr. Michael Landzberg trained in dentistry at the University of Toronto, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and resultantly, several awards for his clinical and academic accomplishments.
Prior to pursuing his post-graduate dental studies, Dr. Landzberg applied his academic learnings to a residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where he practiced general and emergency dentistry.
Dr. Landzberg then returned to the University of Toronto, completing his Masters of Science and Diploma in Periodontics. He simultaneously worked as a General Dentist and as an instructor in Periodontics at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Landzberg is continually educating himself and firmly believes that he can always do better than the status quo. He maintains a strong interest in research and has published numerous articles in dental journals.
Dr. Landzberg has lectured and taught dentists a variety of topics including surgical techniques, instrumentation, flap management, bone grafting, implant placement, human anatomy and surgery, live patient implant and bone grafting surgery.

Dr. Rony E. Dagher is a certified dental specialist in Root Canal Therapy. Rony graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Toronto, Ontario, and received his D.D.S. from Case Western University in 1995, where he was awarded numerous awards in clinical dentistry. He taught at the University of Toronto Dental School for several years while practicing general dentistry in a private office setting where he gained valuable experience in operative, prosthetic and cosmetic dentistry. He completed a 3-year masters residency at the University of Toronto’s post-graduate endodontic program.
Dr. Dagher joined King Ritson Dental in 2001 and currently maintains a teaching post with the Graduate Endodontics Department with the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. Dr. Dagher serves on the board of examiners for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada division of endodontics responsible for administering the specialty qualifications exam, and has been a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists since 2002. Dr. Dagher is proficient in the use of the operating microscope and has a special interest in the treatment of traumatic injuries, especially those impacting children.
Dr. Dagher enjoys skiing, golfing, hiking, and many other outdoor activities. He is also involved in many community programs raising funds and organizing events to help local children with Sick Kid’s Hospital and World Vision.

Dr. Ali Taherian received his DDS from Isfahan University in Iran and then completed his Endodontic Specialty program in 2008. After graduation he had a successful endodontic practice for 7 years before moving to Canada. In 2014 he passed the NDEB equivalency exams for general dentistry and in 2017 , he was accepted into the Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Program in Endodontics at the University of Toronto.
Currently, he is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and is a licensed Endodontist in Ontario. He is also a member of the Canadian Academy of Endodontists and the Ontario Society of Endodontists.

Dr. Oscar Dalmao was born and raised in Toronto and has always had an interest in
dentistry.
He was able to attain his dental degree at the University of Toronto and
followed this with a one-year general practice residency at Sunnybrook Hospital.
Subsequently, Dr. Dalmao went on to complete his training in Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery.
Dr. Dalmao feels privileged to be able to practice such an amazing profession
and offers treatment to patients under moderate and general sedation. When he’s not
in the office, he is busy with his loving family or cohosting his oral surgery podcast,
Teeth & Titanium, which has been invited to record live at multiple national and
international events. Dr. Dalmao is an active member of the CAOMS, OSOMS and the
FRCDC.

DR. ALIA EL-MOWAFY

Dr. El-Mowafy is a board certified Dental Anaesthesiologist. She practices in the GTA providing anaesthesia predominantly for specialists. She practices various anesthesia techniques and serves all patient demographics. She particularly enjoys the challenge and reward of treating pediatric patients.
She also teaches at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto acting as a clinical instructor to graduate residents in the Dental Anaesthesia program. Dr. El-Mowafy is passionate about safety in the office-based environment, and she enjoys teaching and attending continuing education courses that aid clinicians in gaining confidence with airway challenges. In her spare time, she loves to travel and cook.

Dr. Dianna Malkin, D.D.S., M.Sc. (Perio) is a Canadian board-certified periodontist. She
received her dental degree with honours at Western University (UWO) after studying
Chemistry at York University. After practicing as a general dentist for several years, she
pursued her specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery. She received her
Master’s in Periodontology at the University of Toronto. Her master’s research focused
on diabetic healing of bone tissue.
After building a practice in Manhattan, New York, Dr. Malkin moved back home to
Ontario to begin her practice here. Dr. Malkin focuses on treatment of periodontal
diseases, soft tissue grafting, laser gum therapy and regeneration of periodontal
tissues. She performs a wide range of implant dentistry procedures such as dental
implant placement, ridge preservation and bone grafting surgeries including ridge
augmentation and sinus grafting. She has been a clinical instructor at the University of
Toronto in Undergraduate Dentistry and a Fellow at the Royal College of Dentists of
Canada. She is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Canadian Dental
Association, the Alpha Omega Dentistry Organization and was a president of the
student chapter branch at Western University during her time there.
Dr. Malkin speaks three languages and loves travelling. She enjoys reading, painting
and tennis. Dr. Malkin treats her patients with great care and respect. She wants all her
patients to leave their dental appointments with a beautiful, healthy smile and a happy
heart.
