cbCT Imaging: An Introduction

Course Description: This is an introduction to cone beam CT imaging, designed for clinicians with little or no prior experience with this imaging modality. It will discuss the fundamentals of image acquisition and the limitations of this technology. It will review indications and contraindications for treatment planning and imaging prescription. It will introduce common imaging artifacts and demonstrate basic principles of navigating cbCT volumes.

Digital Impressions (Part Two of Two): Benefits and Importance of Prosthetically Driven Implant Planning and Placement

We will review the import and use of cbCT and STL files in the Codiagnostix implant planning software. We will also discuss the manipulation of this data, including the addition of basic and advanced prosthetic components for the ideal placement of implants. The lecture will include further explanation and elaboration on designing surgical guides and temporary prosthetics.
